Before the era of transformers and diffusion models, GANs still ruled the world of AI art generation. This was one of the demos that opened my mind to what would eventually be possible today.

Everyone has their niche humors. Above is one of mine: Random hyperspecific roasts. The whole account is gold. Never fails to make me chuckle.

Being a car designer was my first true career passion before computer science. Countless car magazines, racing games, and hand-drawn paper designs litter my parents’ garage. So the aesthetic of cars have always spoken to something deep and childlike and powerful and energetic within me.

The last decade has mostly been a wash of smooth, rounded, slicked back bleh designs. Every car looks the same. But Hyundai dares to branch out… the designs are unique yet familiar, but unlike the Cybertruck they carry a touch of elegance and panache.

Classy. Electric.

Soccer at its best is the communion of minds, the team organism juggling the ball from one player to the next, an octopus that weaves its way in and out of enemy defenses until an opening has been spotted. There’s no one player who controls the ball or makes the play. It’s the slow, improvisational teasing apart of the opponent’s defenses, waiting for the time to strike when victory is all but assured.

My 5 all-time favorite animations 1. “Jumping” by Osamu Tezuka, 1984

How far can the artist take the simple idea of jumping? All I’ll say is that there’s something beautiful and precious about the animation style that reminds me of being a kid again.
